SCULPTURE
The design texture and pattern specific to the work was inspired by the botanical motif’s of the Victorian era, specifically that of the British Aesthetic Movement’s influence to the Americas from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Labeled as a works in progress, plans for engineering a moss-making machine will be integral to the sculptures capability of producing living textiles made readily available for modern living purposes. Encapsulated biospheres will also host a variety of elements buried in spices pertinent to the Age of Exploration. The work is included as part of the series titled, “Exotic Landscapes”.
