ART > SCULPTURE

The wall sculpture, inspired by the environmental affects of eutrophication, is part of a series of works titled “Exotic Landscapes”. The miniature inclusion of landfill objects, such as matchbox cars, tools, artifacts, and undergrowth, were mounted in clear plastic containers filled with chlorophyll. The systemic bi-ways, which make up the structural framework of the overall design, are made from recycled plastic composite conventionally used for erecting staircase railings in architectural construction. Juxtaposed by the lush lure of artificial surface moss one may discover, hidden beneath this subterranean underworld, an apocalyptic obstacle coarse of irrevocable calamity for concern.
